With a specific focus on climate proofing, this 7-year project considers the following interventions:

• Rehabilitation of forest stands;

• Development and application of tools for climate adaptive forest management;

• Capacity building for implementation partners and project target groups;

• Monitoring and evaluation of project progress and impacts and mainstreaming of best practices into Himachal Pradesh Forest Department standard operations.
