A climate finance needs assessment for the Lebanese government to identify the support needed by Lebanon to reach its NDC-energy targets. Based on a desk-based review and consultations with key actors and stakeholders in the Lebanese energy sector the existing national and international climate finance mobilized for Lebanese renewable energy is identified, followed by a costing of renewable energy projects for key renewable energies in Lebanon to determine the finance gap to reach its NDC-energy targets. Recommendations on how to address the gaps and challenges to access climate finance for the energy sector in Lebanon are made. A capacity building workshop on costing renewable energy projects and a multi-stakeholder consultation workshop conclude the assignment.
