Associate Consultant
Sabine is a climate change expert with over 13 years experience in carbon advisory services, climate policy and project development. She holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences from the Centre for Climate Science and Policy Research of the University of Linköping, Sweden. During her career, Sabine has worked on matters related to climate finance provided under the UNFCCC, as well as mitigation and adaptation with a focus on the land use sector and has authored several project development guidebooks and climate finance manuals. Sabine has been working with us since 2011 as an Associate Consultant.
Previously, Sabine worked for EcoSecurities Consulting as a Senior Consultant and an Associate Senior Consultant from 2006 until 2011, advising public and private sector clients. Sabine worked specifically on carbon forestry and REDD project assessments and development limate policy and carbon market advisory as well as adaptation to climate change and the links between climate change and biodiversity in the land use sector.
In addition, during her PhD and postdoc she has conducted extensive research on the topics of forest conservation and land use displacement as well as telecouplings between tropical deforestation and global demand for forest-risk commodities. Sabine speaks fluent English, Spanish and German, and has a basic command of Swedish.
