Rokia has worked for nongovernmental and governmental organisations, mostly in Africa, coordinating several projects as well as supporting and advising local NGOs and government institutions.
Rokia worked for GIZ as an advisor in the Ministry of Environment and Sanitation of Mali; she coordinated the development of the Malian Climate Change Strategy and a project to promote CDM projects. She has considerable experience in project planning, project management (bilateral financing and co-financing), monitoring and evaluation, mainstreaming climate change into projects and programmes, as well as in public relations and communication.
She has significant expertise in baseline studies, household surveys and value chain analyses using empirical social research methods. She speaks fluent Bambara, French, English and German.
