A project for the Ministry of Finance Planning and Economic Development (MoFPED) of Uganda commissioned by the German International Cooperation (GIZ). This project aims to list and analyse innovative climate finance instruments for the case of Uganda. Innovative instruments related to carbon finance and to green bonds are of particular focus within this study. As part of the study, 2 specific climate change projects most representative of the needs of Uganda are developed in a simplified “concept note”. The 2 selected projects are an urban and a rangeland restoration project.
