A handbook provides a step-by-step approach for practitioners to access climate finance. As a practical toolkit, the handbook provides a systematic methodology for financing climate action by public and private stakeholders in 9 South Mediterranean countries. This project applies the handbook in 4 countries, i.e. Algeria, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine.

In order to assist government officials from MENA countries in developing and assessing funding concepts and proposals climate finance training workshops & coaching writeshops are implemented. These events comprise of 3-day sessions with Climatekos experts acting as facilitators/moderators and technical resource persons. After a one-day general climate finance training 'writeshops' follow to continue the coaching of national writing teams in preparing bankable project/programme funding concepts and proposals. The coaching starts remotely prior to the workshop and continues after the workshop for a limited period of time.
