Associate Consultant
Ménouèr Boughedaoui is a Professor in Environment at the University of Blida in Algeria and has been working on atmospheric pollution and climate change since 1995. He specializes in polluting emissions and greenhouse gas inventories. He was the National Coordinator of Algeria's Second National Communication on Climate Change and he drafted the climate change requests for the Third National Communication as well as the first Biennial Updated Report of Algeria.
He has more than 20 years dedicated to studies and projects in environmental protection, climate change, training of technical managers, environmental experts and trainers, and capacity building of institutions and socio-economic sectors.
He is an expert reviewer of the greenhouse gas emission inventory reports of Annex I countries with the UNFCCC since 2004, he also participates in the process of international consultation and analysis of the BURs of non- Annex I since 2014. He has a thorough experience in project formulation and management, as well as experience working with various funders, and a full understanding of the PCM (Project Cycle Management) approach.
Ménouèr speaks fluent Arabic, French and English. He holds a PHD in the environment specialisation in atmospheric pollution from “Ecole Nationale Polytechnique”, Algiers, Algeria and completed a certificate on environmental impact assessment with GIZ.
