A specific group of developing countries and sectors were analysed with regards to mitigation actions and associated investment plans with a view to possible ways how finance, or financial instruments, could best be employed in order to realise a country’s mitigation ambition or pledge.

The NAMA registry was used to analyse NAMAs seeking support for preparation and implementation to obtain a better understanding of the quality of NAMAs and associated financial investments and needs to prepare specific support to selected NAMAs. Finally, EU biennial reports and Monitoring Mechanism Regulation (MMR) and submissions are reviewed with a view to identify areas of divergence and convergence and how to harmonise reporting formats and standards for certain areas of information among Member States and the EC.
