The overview of carbon market and climate policy developments and the mitigation potential was followed by an overview of the mitigation activities and the identification of barriers to an increased uptake of mitigation activities in the WCA region. Finally, examples of possible investments in carbon and mitigation activities and a strategic approach for IFAD’s operations in the region were prepared.
